Our instructors are among the best in the Chicago area. Dance Center Chicago is home to multiple champion-level dancers, as well as World, US, Australian, and Russian Ballroom and Latin Finalists. We also regularly host top ballroom coaches and judges to help students of all levels continue improving.

Do I need any dance experience to take private lessons?
No experience necessary. Private lessons are ideal for complete beginners because instruction is 100% customized to your starting point. Many of our students begin with zero dance background.
How many lessons will I need?
It depends on your goal. For a wedding first dance, most couples feel confident after 4–8 lessons. For social dancing, 5–10 lessons gives you a strong foundation. For competitive goals, we recommend an ongoing lesson plan.
Do I need to bring a partner?
No — you can take private lessons solo. Our instructors dance with you as your partner during the lesson. Couples are of course welcome to take lessons together.
How long are lessons and where are they held?
Each private lesson is 45 minutes and takes place at our studio at 3868 N. Lincoln Avenue, 2nd Floor, Chicago IL 60613 in the North Center neighborhood. Steps from the Western Brown Line stop.
