3-Week Wedding Dance Class
“This 3-week class was exactly what my fiance and I needed to prepare for our first dance. We didn’t want cheesy choreography but I couldn’t bear the thought of shifting our weight from side to side, boring our friends and family to tears. Audra and John are upbeat, great teachers, and gave a lot of personalized attention to every couple. The class vibe was so positive, we couldn’t wait for our dancing “high” each week!”
Dance Center Chicago and our sister studio, Big City Swing, have designed a group class specifically for couples preparing for their wedding. The class teaches a modified fox-trot or “slow” dancing and ensures you and your fiancee will feel comfortable leading and following each other through a smooth and relaxed dance.
Through our 3-week series, you will learn:
- The fundamentals of partner dancing
- A stylish entrance
- Numerous impressive turns
- And a picture-perfect ending
At the end of the class, you will receive a copy of our Instructional DVD, “Dancing Together: A 90-Minute Guide to a Beautiful Wedding Dance” which makes remembering the steps and practicing at home even easier.

* Please note enrollment is for 3 classes within the same session. Because we limit enrollment to 10 couples, these classes sell out. Therefore, you may not make-up the class in a different month. We want to ensure everyone has plenty of room to dance.
To register for the 3-week wedding dance class, select one of the following options:
To enroll in our wedding classes, you’ll be transferred to our online registration software, where all your personal information is stored and encrypted to protect your credit card information.
You’ll be asked to create a unique user name and password. From there, it’s easy to Sign Up for your class. After purchasing, you’ll immediately see a confirmation screen that includes all the class dates within the 3-week series. Please note: For the wedding class, you only need to enter one participant’s name, as the payment is per couple.
The software lists the classes in chronological order, so if you’re looking for Wedding Dance on Tuesdays, scroll down through Monday’s classes first.

Cancellation and Change Policies:
To cancel, change or postpone enrollment in a group class, call 312-243-0700 or email us as soon as possible.
Cancellations / Changes received 5 or more days before the start of the first class are eligible for a complete refund or credit towards future group classes or private lessons.
Cancellations / Changes received between 2 and 5 days before the start of the first class are eligible for credit only. The credit will equal the full amount paid by the student and will be redeemable for future group classes or private lessons.
Cancellations / Changes received within 48 hours before the start of the first class will receive a credit redeemable towards future group classes or private lessons less a $15/couple cancellation fee.
After the first class begins, tuition is non-refundable. A credit will only be issued in the event of serious injury or long-term illness. For wedding classes, the approved credit will be calculated by taking the tuition paid less the tuition paid divided by 3, times the number of wedding classes elapsed, less $15 change fee.
The above policies apply to all forms of payment for classes including cash, check, MasterCard, Visa, prepaid packages, credits, discount online vouchers and gift certificates.
Inclement Weather Policy:
Dance Center Chicago will always be open! We only close in the event that the governor issues a state of emergency, and the last time that happened due to weather was February 2011. All the above cancellation policies will still apply even if it’s snowy, rainy, or hailing brimstone.
If you feel you need to cancel your lesson or studio rental, please contact us as soon as possible so that we may try to rebook that space on your behalf. We will pursue numerous avenues including posting availability through Facebook, contacting parties on waitlists and the like. If successful, we will with great relief and happiness refund any cancellation fees.
